When my father passed away he left me with a number of his sporting guns. Among them is a Winchester 101 over under. Now I absolutely love this gun. But what makes is such a special gun? When you tell people you have one, they immediately want it. Please educate me.

That was a good read, but I still don't know why gun enthusiasts wants one so bad. I checked the serial number and it's from 1965. I'm not sure When my father bought it, or if he bought it new. But he was 19 when it was made. It was his favorite gun for pheasant hunting. I'm not into hunting, but I really love breaking clays with it. Thanks for any more info. I just love the way it feels and I can shoot well with it.Comment

Got a 12 ga with 30 in barrels I use for sporting clays and trap. Got a 3 barrel set for skeet and shooting doves. Once you own one you will want to buy more. Kinda like rem 1100 for me. Both great shooters.Comment
