I just wanted to know if a shell elevator/carrier for a 870 would fit a H&R pardner pump? Just wanted to see if anyone has any insight on this...

Nice to know. Shells were getting stuck on my shell lift when ejecting from the mag tube on my Pardner Pump. I decided to grind down the shell lift and polish it but I made it worse so I need a replacement now. Unless anyone knows a way to polish the shell lift to restore its smoothness so shells will glide on it. I'm also thinking my spring might be weak because it was only my last shell that wouldn't come out from the mag tube

You will have to polish from rough grit to fine grit to bring a mirror finish to metal:j

Mmm... could be that the carrier got bent slightly. Did you take the trigger group off before that problem started happening? It may be that your lifter isnt extending far enough and causing the shells to hang up. Couldn't hurt to try a heavy mag spring though. I believe the proper factory heavy magazine spring is the Police P/N 92447.:j

I just ordered a Wolff extra strength Remington 870 mag spring from Brownells. Hopefully that'll fix my feeding issues if not I'll have to buy a new shell carrier. This shotgun has been giving me this problem since day 1Mmm... could be that the carrier got bent slightly. Did you take the trigger group off before that problem started happening? My problem from day 1 was that my lifter wasn't lifting the shells high enough and they would get wedged between the barrel and the bolt. I bent it slightly and then had the problem you are describing. After about a year of trying to tweak it just right I bought a new one and haven't had a problem since.Comment
