Browning Maxus Stalker?

Anyone have experience with this shotgun? Is it a good choice for field and clays? Looking at the O/U's as well but it looks like I can get into one of these for a little less money. I handled one today and it comes up nice to the shoulder. Even if I shoulder the gun with my eyes closed it is in perfect position when I open my eyes. The gun I handled has the synthetic stock and feels great.

I have read some good reviews, but would like to hear about your experiences with the gun or if you know someone that has one that would be helpful also.

I have a Maxus Stalker. It is my first Browning Autoloader and I love it. I am usually all over the Beretta Autos but I got this on a good deal.

I have only shot it at ducks this year but it is an awesome gun. I haven't had the chance to get it out on the clays course yet but I understand it should cycle target loads without a problem.

One recommendation...if it fits like you describe, you won't be disappointed with the gun. Even with 3 1/2" shells, it doesn't bite at all.

Thanks that sounds great. You sound happy and that is what I have read on the reviews everyone seems to like it a lot. The fit was one thing that I noticed right away. I held the Benelli M2 and the Beretta A400 both were a little more money and the Beretta felt good but not quiet as good as the Browning.

I almost went for the extra few hundered bucks for the A400. I actually shot the A400 but I just didn't want to spring for the extra coin.

I really like the Maxus. I was a little thrown off by the looks at first but you get really used to it. The forend comes off VERY easy and it is a cool feature to not have a threaded end cap. Gun also has a mag cut-off (which I will probably never use) as well as the speed load feature. If you use the speed load, be careful where your thumb is as the shell plate can catch your thumb and it hurts like hell...especially in the cold duck blind.

Overall, I have no complaints about the gun. It goes bang and I have ducks in the freezer. As long as I do my job...it has done its job!
