Saiga 12 Auto Plug - Do you use one?

Once dialed in, it allows you to shoot light birshot and 2 3/4" buck/slug without adjusting the gas plug.

It's been out on the market for a year. I don't see many reviews or any complaints about damaged rear trunnion. However, I suspect most users do not shoot more than 100 slugs/buck a year.

Anyone with a high round count(buck/slug) Saiga-12 using this auto plug?

If the problem is not enough gas to start with, I cannot see how an autoplug could help matters. You can't increase the volume of gas coming from the gas ports on the barrel. If they were drilled too small, than the only solution is to drill them out.

No gas regulating system is going to fix that, and if they tell you it does and you believe them....maybe a high school physics class would be in order.

Now once the gas ports are drilled, I could see using a regulator to dial down the gas flow for heavier gas generating loads, like 00 BUCK OR 3" MAGUNUM, but the gas ports need to be of a size to allow for the operation of low recoil loads with unhindered gas flow.

I am not asking for troubleshooting advice. Only auto plug users' feedback.

        Got it ...love it..great product!

It works, you don't have to worry about switching the setting for hot or light loads...set it up to the lightest loads you are going to use and your done...no further adjustments needed.

WAY better than the gunfixers plug....

bubbapug... the product doesn't claim to fix low gas issues but it does claim to make you not have to switch between gas settings which it does.

        Great product definately GTG !

Got it...I could see not remembering to turn the knob and destroying a nice gun.

+1 to everything here. I shoot slugs then move over to 5-stand without a hitch. Set it up with a light target load and then forget it. Put a dab of locktite on it so it doesn't back out under recoil. Love it!
