I'm in the market for a pump shotgun in the $200 price range. I know all about your standard pump shotguns--the Remington 870, the Mossberg 500 and 590, the Ithaca model 37, the Winchester 1300. However, I'm drawn heavily to the police riot gun/police magnum set-up. I'm looking for the 18-20" barrel, 4 or 5 rd tube, and iron sights rather than just the front bead. It seems like the Remington Police Magnum is a bit out of my range, as are the old Ithaca 37s. But I stumbled upon the Charles Daly pump shotguns this morning, and they seem to all be about $200. In fact, there is a model that seems to fulfill my specifications perfectly for only $206. So, are Charles Daly shotguns any good? Anyone have any experience with them at all?
