    Remington 870 tactical forend?

I have been playing with my 870, changed the stock, forend, magazine extension (which has problems), side saddle, 18 " barrel with breacher choke, etc. The Forend I put on is railed with a vertical grip, but it was a cheapo and I dont particularly care for it. All plastic and loose. Anybody got any good suggestions and links to interesting ones that are not rediculously expensive? This is like the one I have now. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Remington-87...item45fff556a3. I hope the link works. What do a lot of tactical classes recomend?

I would not put a vertical grip on the forend and risk compromising the action bars.

AAshooter is correct. Vertical forends on pumps will damage the weapon. Most of us torque our forends to some degree. when you add a vertical forend to a pump it acts as a lever and increases this torque. This then twist your action bars and one day you are trying to figure out why that pump is not smooth any longer. It is because that tacti-fool mess you put on the weapon has damaged the action bars and they are binding in the receiver.

Get a Speedfeed LE forend for around $22.

If you're going to a gun fight, take a shotgun. If you can't take a shotgun, don't go.

A good "tactical" forend is a nice small simple one that clears the side saddle.

I got a tri-rail foregrip that's very nice. By Botach tactical I think it was.

The only tactical forend I'd put on a shotgun would be one with a light. I had this one on one of my 870's and I liked it:
