    Mossberg 500 forend clearance issue

A neighbor of mine asked me to have a look at his shotgun (knowing I'm "The Gun Guy") and said he is having issues with finding a forend for his Mossberg 500 that will not rub against the heat shield/barrel shroud.

My thought was - Remove the heat shield. But I don't think that would fly with him as he has every possible thing you can bolt onto that gun:

    -laser
    -flashlight
    -cheap BSA Red Dot
-6-8in flash supressor...which I didn't even know they had for that
    -knoxx stock
-and I think an espresso machine

So my question is...has anyone had any clearance issues, and do you know of a forend that would work without modification? I'll try and get a pic up soon.

remove the steamed milk tube from the espresso or go with Hogue. Or (and everyone should have one) buy a dremel.
