Benelli Barrel interchangeability question. Need some Help

    Hey guys,

I have a benelli m2 field with a 28" barrel and i'm looking to get a shorter barrel for it. Im looking for either a 18.5" or 21" barrel. However, I was curious if I must buy an m2 barrel for it to properly fit my gun. Would an m1 super 90 barrel fit my gun and forearm okay? I've looked at the m1 super 90 barrels and they look to be identical to the m2. I just want to make sure one will fit before I drop the cash on one.

    Thank you

The barrels are interchangeble. The only difference is the barrel lug on the M2 is a little longer than the M1 barrel. So, the M1 barrel will go right on to the M2, but if you put an M2 barrel on to a M1, you have to modify the forarm a little with a dremel to make it fit.
