Need 870 replacement part

I'm a shotgun noob and I'm unsure what this part is called but I can describe it.
Its a slender metal piece on the inside of the reciever that holds the shells in the magazine tube and then releases the shell into the chamber when action is cycled.

Stick to Beretta's there Mr. Beretta. He is talking about one of the shell latches.

Which side of the receiver is missing a shell latch 4thSbct? Tell me the side and I will give you the part number. You then call 800-243-9700, follow the prompts to parts and order it. You should then have it staked in.

That is part number 102310 and retails from Remington for $13. Why do you need this? It would be very rare for one to break. If it came unstaked, it is a simple matter of re-staking it but is not even necessary as the staking is simply to hold it in during cleaning and has nothing to do with the operation of the weapon.

4th - Don't know how far it is up to 1911 is but that is a very generous offer and you don't have to buy the staking tool that you may use once in a life time. I see more of these kind of offers here on calguns then any other site. You guys are living in the worse anti-gun state and I guess that means you stick together and support each other more. It is why I come to this site and why I jumped through your DOJ hoops to be CA approved. One sorry *** state government but has the best bunch of gun owners in the USA.

Thanks for the Offer, I will take you up on it when I get around to purchasing the part.

The story goes....I traded another calgunner for this shotgun. When he came over to show me the shotgun he seemed like he was having trouble putting it back together after disassembling it. I'm a shotgun noob and this is my first so everything looked Ok to me and it appeared in great shape.
After the very first dove hunting trip, I noticed right away something was not right with the shotgun. I quickly identified this part as the problem when my next shell would not load correctly into the chamber. I removed the part and noticed it is pretty badly deformed compared to my buddies 870. I was able to bend it back into shape somewhat to get shells feeding reliably again but I would rather have the new part to be happy.

pm photos of what you think is broken, and we can get you up and running. If you come up to LA/Gardena, M-F days, I can take a look. Sounds like a shell latch and I can order a set from Remington.

It is the shell latch, Its pretty tweaked. Like I said, I was able to bend it back to working order but I'd rather have a completely new unmolested part since they are pretty inexpensive.
