surefire forend momentary switch non-op

My forend from surefire has gone dead and I am not the original owner.

Has anyone had luck with surefire fixing their product under warranty when not the original owner?

Surefire typically does not cover worn out switches under warranty. They say they cover everything but bulbs, batteries and switches because they are considered wear items. They will fix it for you though or you can order an individual part and fix it yourself.

I am a surefire whore frankly and if you call and are nice they don't seem to care about original owner. MX is correct that they don't generally cover switches since they are a wear item and user replaceable but seeing as the shot gun forend switches are not user swappable ust call tomorrow and ask.

Called today and they are going to RMA the forend.

I was expecting to pay a few dollars to get this fixed, but surefire is going to warranty the momentary switch at no charge.

This is service! Next flashlight I'm looking to purchase will be another surefire.
