Now, if you are talking about shotguns, no, they are not registered unless, they are Ca AWs or one fills out and sends in a voluntary registration form. The forms you fill out when you buy the gun are not registration of any kind. In fact, the Ca DROS form doesn't even have a place for long gun serial numbers.

DROS does not equal registration when it comes to long guns. Also, if the long gun is over 50 years old, it does not need to be DROSed. Of course, since shottys have only been around as long as airsoft and COD, they obviously are not 50 years old yet.
