if i have 2 of the same shotguns and one has a barrel of 18" and the other has a 22" and if i put the same choke in each..would the pattern at say...40yds be the same?..using birdshot?

Yes, barrel length means little. However, you could see some minor difference even from two barrels of the model, the exact length and the exact choke. But over all the choke is the factor so your patterns will be very close to the same. Lenght does not matter with smooth bore shotguns after a point.JD McGuire, Owner
