    O/U Maintainence?

I have a Beretta 686, 12g. About how many shells before a complete tear down, clean and lube? It's skeet shooting about 200-300 shells/month.

All I do is clean the barrels, receiver cavity and wipe it down. I'm thinking the trigger mechanism, pins and all should get cleaned up after some time.

while I don't own any o/u's. I DO clean the triggers and pins and do a complete tear down after a season of clays...

My rule of thumb is about 10,000 rounds. I shoot Brownings and Caesar Guerinis.

I agree with the above. clean the barrels and reciever after every session, but do a complete tear down and thurough cleaning after about 10000 shells. It works for my Browning Citori's

Ok. My target is 10k barring any vehement objection. Say, 300rnds/month. That's 33 months.....ok.

Unless you throw your gun in the water or mud there isn't really much need to break it down to parts in anything less than at least 10K rounds. Just keep the barrels cleaned, the exterior lightly oiled and scrub out the ejector area and the inside of the receiver with a toothbrush and a bit of solvent once in a while to cut the fouling and you should be fine.
