mossberg500 question

I am trying to put a sling on my mossberg. the problem I am having is that the front sling atachment is on the mag tube threaded plug. every time I move the sling a bit it unscrews the plug a 1/4 turn or so. how can I remove the threaded plug from it "housing and replace or modify it so that the sling point spins freely?

Maybe you can find a 360 sling swivel?

Do 500's still come with the hole for a swivel on the piece that comes off the tube mount? Well, I can't think of the correct term but for clarity; there should be a threaded hole on the underside in the front.

yes it has the removeable cap on the mag tube. there is a sling attach there, threaded into it but I can't see how to get it apart to see if the sling attach is removable. if it is, i can strip out the threads and make it spin freely
