ShotLock type wall shotgun mount BUT for shotgun with side saddle **install photos**

I want to get a fast open wall mount for my shotgun for faster access. However, I run a side saddle and so the ShotLock will not work. But that is the exact kind of system I want. Exactly. It clamps on, mounts to the wall, has very fast push button type open system, no key needed.

    Any suggestions?

UPDATE: added install photos for a Santa Cruz Lock

This looks like a great option really.. Santa Cruz Gunlocks SC-917-B

shotgun with sidesaddle seems no issue and it can be adjust up and down for something like an AR.

        cool review setup http://230grain.com/showthread.php?6...Cruz-Gun-Locks

          Try the Tufloc mounts

Tufloc mounts are possible the best manufactured mounts available :-

This is my vehicle set up for my Remington 870

I am not connected to the manufacturer or supplier but totally recommend this product

im not familiar with the tufloc products, but that electric as well as manual release on the santa cruz products is pretty darn sweet.

Tufloc seems to make a similar type main mount, similar pricing, but slightly different setup for the single weapon mount that does not seem to be as adjustable (up or down) and you appear to need to buy a model specific to the weapon (shotgun is model 73-000 for example). So, it seems like the santa cruz is more useful/adjustable/modular out of the box for similar money.

Maybe not the way you want to go, but just a suggestion. If this is for HD then just go without the sidesaddle. It's what I use, but then again I have a dedicated 870 just for home. My reason for this is the Shotlock covers the trigger and is safer for kids. The other designs do not prevent a round from being chambered and discharged.

technically, you can use this - on the shotgun - from stopping a round being racked. The clamp can be slid up and down and thus, placed to stop the action. so not round chambered or fired is possible.

                  I have no kids either

Just placed an order on the web, got a killer deal, could not pass up. Did a lot of research on the Santa Cruz option - there are several great reviews (one here) with full pictorials out there - and with the adjustably to:

                      (1) keep a side saddle if I want to
                      (2) adjust up or down for shotgun or any AR I own - multi weapon usage in 1 lock
                      (3) clamp over various size barrels/forends etc

It was hard to beat this system. There is even an electronic open option to allow for a hidden push button attached to a 12v battery to pop the unit open. So, you could wire a button near the bed or hidden and push that and run to the closet and have the lock open already. Or of course, just use the key.

Really, I think it was exactly what I was hoping for, very modular and seems very well thought out. For example, if you change from holding a shotgun to an AR the lock is adjustable up and down and the base plate for the stock can be adjusted in and out if the angle is different.

I will post up install photos.

Here you go. Installed in a closet. 1 way screws that come with the home mount kit - as opposed to vehicle - make it nice as a person cannot walk up and unscrew it and take it or remove it. Not that they could since in my case the barrel and weapon would make it tough to get a wrench or leverage in there. Mounted to studs of course. Quality is super nice on this product, very nice police and military quality. I mounted it in such a way the locks hole is facing forward for speed of access for key into lock. I cut out the lower molding to get the lower butt place mount flush to wall and floor. Also notice no way to rack and fire the weapon.

                          And look... side saddle intact

I would advise, do NOT get the adjustable butt plate. Get the solid mount as it is deeper and wider and a tad longer so helps with shotguns or weapons with butt pad. They accidentally sent me one so I go to test it, but liked the full closed not adjustable butt plate way better.

I will be able to use this on any rifle I own, but for now my Mossy gets it.
