whats up with the safety these days?

I just got an express model a few weeks ago and it had a non locking safety, came with a trigger lock in the box. I was expecting it to be one of those locking ones you put the little green key in, so that was a surprise. I would rather have the regular safety anyhow.

they stopped using the J-lock years ago as buyers hated them.
