    Point me in a direction.

Sorry if this has been asked, I have been over this section and used the search function.

I would like to add a 12 guage shotgun in semi-auto to my collection. I don't want a pistol grip, a standard stock is good for me. However I am looking for something not over 20" and with some form of capacity nearer to 10.

I have been looking at the benelli m2, but again the 4 round chamber and legal issues with adding an extension tube due to the foreign parts seem to sway me away.

What should I be looking at?

Look at the Remington 1100 or 11-87 and if allowed Tac-Star makes extensions. Sure you don't want to try a pump? Those you can buy with 10rd capacity.

If you want to keep the price down, the 1100 is a great shotgun, but they aren't flexible over a wide range of loads, and only a few models will run both standard and magnum without changing barrels.

The 11-87 is an improved version, and is more flexible and more expensive.

Either's a great gun, and probably the best bet for keeping the cost down.

If you don't mind spending more, the Beretta 391 or Benelli M2 have great reputations.

How about the FN SLP? Is it too uber tactical to maybe have fun with too? If one is looking at the Benelli or Beretta in terms of pricing...

          Thanks so far.

I shot the Bennelli (maybe an early model) but it was finnicky on ammo and had to a positive sholder purchase to cycle properly. My remington model 11 out shot the Bennelli which pissed off its onwer. His was 1100 and mine was 110.

I would get a Browning 10 or Remington 1100. What is your general use for the gun. They versitile though.
