    Brownings= no case

I just bought a citori and it didnt come with a case. You figure for 1250 it would come with a case. Bass Pro had a Browning case for 219. I dont think Im going to be buying it as for 219 I would want a custom fitted case. Is it better to leave the gun in pieces or keep it assembled when in storage ?

    ><

Togethe in a soft case is fine...a light coat of oil on all metal and your GTO.

I prefer canvas softcases or something beathable.

    Enjoy your Browning

PS Check Ebay for a deal on a hard case

I had the same issue with my Citori 20 ga. A cardboard box for a 2300 dollar gun. They are good guns, have fun. I keep it assembled in storage. Wipe it every two months.

Use caution when storing in a fabric case. Make sure you oil it and make sure it is dry as a firearm with any moisture on it will rust pretty quickly.

Can somebody tell me the differences in the citoris? I have the satin hunter. But there are like 24 other citoris out there and they all seemt o be the same to me besides the color of the reciever.

Grade difference primarily has to do with the wood and engraving. Lighter weights have aluminum alloy receivers vs. steel, some might have sliding adjustable trigger, slight differences in chokes, inventor and inventor plus etc...
Recoil pads and or grips. There might still be a Citori Satin forum if I remember correctly, check them out. They get better with age.

Cheaper Than Dirt has that same case for $166. It was the best price around when I bought mine. A hard, break down case works great because it is shorter than a gun put together and it fits in trunks of cars and doesn't bang up the woodwork if you keep your guns in the house. Most O/U user prefer this type.

Cheaper Than Dirt! is America's Ultimate Shooting Sports Discounter, and we live up to that title. Expect bulk ammo deals, discounts, gun care accessories and more

How has it held up? I had an aluminum case and it got scratched and dented in no time. While my plastic one has survived with minimal damage.

Bought my Citori and a hard case at the same time.

Buy the hard case and as time goes by what you paid for it won't matter but knowing your Browning is safe and snug will.

Mine stays put together in the safe.

It usually travels in a soft long gun case.

I have a BT 99 with a 34" barrel and with an extended choke, will not fit in any soft case I can find so it goes in a Pelican 1700. I like the Pelican case but do not find any joy in taking the gun apart nor assembling it. I got it because some day I will want to fly with it and figured it was the best choice for that.

I like the pelicans too. I just hate the price, and the fact if I cut the foam I cant use it for my other guns. Im thinking about building my own out of wood, and the line it with felt.

I travel to a lot of events.

My gun goes in this Boyt soft case:

Then the soft case goes in this Tuffpak hard case:

When I go to the local range, I just use the soft case.

Your the 2nd person who said Boyt. Why is it such a great case? Is it really well lined? Does the canvas hold up well?
