Benelli M4 sights have Tritium?

I'm wondering if my Benelli M4 has glow-in-the-dark / Tritium sights or not.

When I'm in pitch black darkness, I can see the rear sights lightly glowing, but it's very faded. I purchased this M4 from RifleGear only less than 2 months ago and have no modified or bought Tritium sights for it.

The website says it doesn't come standard with Tritium sights, so I find it weird that my rear sight glows very lightly. It's not enough to aim with but the glow is still noticeable in pitch black.

Any possible explanation to this?

Mine is the same. I don't think it is Tritium, but who knows. Definately not as bright as the night sights on my handguns.

Shine a flashlight on the sights for a few minutes and then try them in the dark. Photoluminescent paint needs to be "charged" by a light source before it is bright. Tritium doesn't need to be charged like this because it is powered by radioactive decay.

I did this and it worked! Pretty neat. Kind of disappointing Benelli doesn't make Tritium stock on the M4 though.

You can rig up a light bulb to hang in your gun safe, always on. It will keep the humidity out of the safe and keep your night sights charged up.

Does that particular Benelli come with LPA ghost ring sights? If so you may be able to purchase tritium inserts for them without changing out your whole sights.
