Anybody shoot these Estate loads? How are they on the skeet range? Thanks for the inputs!

I bought thousands of these rounds from sportsmansguide and have not had 1 bad shell. I use them in an 18" winchester 1300 defender to shoot clays at angeles, I think they work great but then again im not much of a skeet shooter so someone else will chime in with more info.

I use the Estates all the time and they work just fine. I've been buying them from Cabellas for $59.95/flat (250 rds) but the best thing is Cabellas always has some kind of free shipping going on. Usually shipping kills most good deals. And since Cabellas isn't in my state, no sales tax. Figures the true overall cost and buy them several cases at a time. Good shells for a good price. BTW, 100 round boxes or Feds and Winchester tomorrow, black Friday at Wammart for $18.00., that's $45 per flat!

Have used a few boxes and they go bang every time. Another thing to mention: #7.5 shot will work but #8 or #9 shot will work better for skeet as you have shorter distances in skeet and thus can get away with more of a lighter shot but increased number of pellets. Most skeet shooters I know use #8 or #9 shells for skeet and I personally use #7.5 shells when I go dove hunting where the distance to target is a bit more and I want more of a "punch" to bring down the target.

Also, Walmart is having a special on shotgun ammo for Blackfriday. Not every Walmart in LA carries ammo but those that do have 100rd packs of Winchester / Federal Target Load 12ga/20ga #7.5/#8 shot for $18 plus tax; so that comes out to about $5 a box or $50 per "case" of 10 boxes. That is where I will be stocking up at tomorrow.

Called WM in Huntington Beach and they said no ammo sales tomorrow. What's up with that?

I picked up a flat of Federal #8 1 ounce target loads (not bulk ammo) at my local Wally last night (no way on this earth I'm going near there on Friday) for $51.47, tax included... for what that's worth.

The Estate shells work very well and they are reloadable. The hulls are good quality and will last for perhaps 8 or 10 reloadings. A number of guys at my club shoot nothing else. For trap at 16 yards a 1 ounce load of #7 1/2 or #8 at 1150 FPS works very nicely for me. For longer distances they also make more powerful handicap loads.

Cabela's has the same flats for $52.99. No tax for CA residents and right now free shipping on anything over $99. I will have some with me this saturday if you want to test them out.

The Cabela ad also says "free shipping, but additional charges apply to heavy items". To me ammo is heavy or are they talking about something like a Safe?

Ammo is free if you order over $99. I just ordered 5 cases of Estate SuperSport Target Shotshells 12GA 23/4 2.75 1OZ 8 .

I've shot 10's of thousands of these without any problems.

Yes, a case is 10 boxes of 25 shells.

                              Sounds great - Thanks!

I braved WM Huntington Beach this morning and no, ammo is not on sale at that store. Still I bought 10 boxes at $5.47 each, $58.94 with tax. Good deal. I like these because they're a light 1oz load but have a 1290fps muzzle velocity.

I'm checking Cebela's also. Thanks all!
