I went for the 500 combo model. I felt 5+1 is more than enough for home defense and I can still shoot trap and hunt bird with it. I love versatility.

Not on your list, but I would go for the 500 with 4+1 and the 18.1" barrel. Add a Hogue Short LOP Stock. If you want a light, get the Mako railed forearm and whichever light flips your switch.

For HD, you want the pump and you want it to be small. The 500 with the smaller magazine is a better HD gun IMHO.

Also, don't use a pistol grip or pistol grip stock with a tang safety. It's annoying and you'll later be frustrated at yourself for wasting the money (ask me how I know).
