870 at Dicks

Anyone else jump on the 870 Express deal at Dicks recently? Cost me about $350 out the door for a laminate stock 28" remchoked 12ga gun. Getting $30 back from remington, another $20 rebate from dicks, and then I believe a $10 gift card from dicks for every $300 I spend there. So less than $300.

Picked up an 18.5" barrel and a mag tube extension. Its a no nonsense HD gun now. Total cost is going to be about $465 or so....plus I have an extra barrel! Prob wont use the extra barrel as I have some other guns with longer barrels. I figure thats maybe a little less than I could have gotten the HD synthetic gun for - but I like the wood, and the extra barrel

Saw it, made me want to buy another 870 all over again, but then I thought about my winchesters and passed.

Plan on doing a little metalwork on the mag tube to be able to use that extension to full capacity.

Otherwise... good pick up at a nice price.

oh yeah, been there before and did it again for the new 870. High speed dental handpiece makes quick work of the mag tube and leaves nice rectangular holes without burs on the inside
