    Saiga 12 Bullet Button Tool

So what do you S12 peeps use to drop mags with a "bullet button"? (mag lock a better term?) Obviously, a spare round won't work for us. I usually have a multi-tool with a dull socket attachment in my range bag. Or a key if I forget that. Is there a better option? Does it matter?

I was thinking about trying to attach something to a glove. Just gotta reinforce it enough so it'll flip the latch, but not so much that it becomes cumbersome or interferes with my shooting.

Also, not sure if having a small metal (or plastic? less scratching?) bit protruding from a glove would then make the glove some kind of weapon? I'm not thinking Freddy Krueger. Just something small and blunt.

I haven't heard of anything, but does anyone know if you can mod a bullet button on a Saiga 12? As long as it still requires a tool it should be OK, right? I was thinking about a small hole in the back just in front of the trigger guard. That way I could push the latch from behind instead of come up from the bottom. (sounds so wrong) but my Saiga isn't converted. Doubt you could do that if your trigger guard was right up against the BB hood shroud thing.

    OK. Enough rambling.

    Some interesting ideas here: http://www.calguns.net/calgunforum/s...aiga+12&page=2

Not a lot for an S12 though.

    Anyone try a Raddlock tool?

Seems like that might work well.

I use a tapco chamber flag from my AR15. Its plastic so no worries about scratching anything. Worked great today at the range once I got use to it.

sweet. I'm headed to a gun show today so I'll look around for something like that. My AR-7 doesn't have bolt open so I should pick one up regardless. thanks!

I always just use my EDC knife. It can open wave style so it is pretty quick.

I tried these little strap on nub things that Solar Tactical has (like a strap on UBBT), but even though I've been very happy with everything else they sell, those things kinda flap around, are difficult to get tight, and really are more of a pain in the butt than they are worth dealing with. So I just recommend avoiding those.

When i shoot 3gun, I use a glove with a drill but attached to the thumb. Almost as fast as not having the lock.

I'd like to see a picture of that set-up. What size drill bit?

Ever worry about scratching yourself with it?

What does your shotgun set up look like? How many mags do you bring with? Do you get a lot of comments?

Did you have to make modifications to it?

I put this tool together for my Saiga 12.

It's tethered to a line that attaches to my belt.

The handle is big enough to get a great grip on it and I jam the rod in until it's stopped by the grips shoulders and push forward.

                            Pretty reliable.
