    Best affordable clay launcher?

Not many choices out there, huh.....either the cheapy and near useless $40 crap at Big 5 or the heavy duty $1000 real deal. Anybody have something in-between, to be used for recreational purposes? Spring-loaded, compressed air, battery-powered, anything?

If you're near San Jose you can borrow mine. It's spring powered and mounted on a rim/tire. I've leant it out to Calgunners before. Only thing I've ever used it for is shooting big plate washers across the shop and once with clay. I've found it easier and faster just to get one of those little plastic arm things and launch them by hand.
Lord, make my hand fast and accurate.
Let my aim be true and my hand faster
than those who would seek to destroy me.
Grant me victory over my foes and those who wish to do harm to me and mine.
Let not my last thought be 'If I only had my gun."
And Lord, if today is truly the day you call me home, let me die in an empty pile of brass.

      Launchers

Thanks blue84S10, I have one mounted on some construction beams, I use big tent stakes to further solidify the platform, it works great, I just want something that launches faster, further, and with less effort--now is that too much to ask?!?!? I would assume that if I had a gas-powered air-compressor, someone makes a cool launcher?

          clay launcher

          Guys,
I have solved the clay launcher problem. When you mount those things on a tire, you end up standing on the tire to cock it. Its clumsy and tires you out. I have welded my launcher onto a peice of 2" receiver tubing and you just chuck it into the receiver slot on your truck or car. I will have to post a couple of pictures later

This is often discussed over at www.shotgunworld.com. Try a search over there, and you may find some good threads.

Man, didn't even think of that If anyone wants this done, I've got the stuff to do it. I'm sure there's a bunch of 2x2 in the scrap rack at work.
