Sucks. Did you knock it on something or did it slowly loosen?

Kinda discouraging as I've been waiting to get an 870 a-tacs.

Falls out as it is the same as the rifle sights and dove tails into the base. They are sending you the same sight and you will install it.

You can get it started and then use a wooden dowel and a small hammer to tap it into place, but first put a small drop of any sight adhesive like Black Max or any type of strong glue for metal to metal. Put it in the center of the base. Once you have the sight centered get the adhesive off that pushed out of the base with a rag and some denatured alcohol or something like that.

Another way to ensure a good bond is to light sand the base of the sight removing the finish. Do the same in the base. This way you are bonding Metal to Metal and not finish to finish.

And Remington Lied to you about sometime, they do it often and even when they don't forget the lazy bums don't center the sight. I complain about this every time I call in with an order, and no, not about GR sights, about the rifle sights, same system, same lazy union shop bums on the assembly line.

Just got my 870 Tactical Express 2 weeks ago. The front blade slides back and forth like an abacus??? I guess i'll do it myself. Otherwise, a GREAT shotgun.

Such a great shotgun. Perhaps because they have sold 10 million plus that they are slacking off on the parts that aren't part of the guts? Its a shame, a good product should remain a good product even if it has some non-standard parts or configurations. I own three 870s and they have never failed me but now I'd hesitate to get a 'tactical' from them. Maybe I'll just go through Vang Comp, Wilson Combat or Nighthawk, even though their shotgun markups are quite high.
