I took my saiga out for the first time this weekend and shot roughly 250 Rds of federal bulk pack through it.The stick mags cycle about 98% but the drum would cause every 4 th rd or so to get a spent shell stuck on its way out.Seems to be a failure to eject issue.I'm going to try to lower the spring tension in the drum as I've read some have been successful doing so.My question is Does anyone have any other ideas as ti what else I can do to get the gun to cycle with a drum?Jack traverse did the conversion and polishing work and Luke I said it functions great with the atick mags so my belief is that's the culprit is the drum itself.I appreciate any advice. Thanks in advance.

Check out the website. I think there is a tutorial about getting the proper fit.Wise is the man, who in quiet times, keeps his knives sharp and close at hand.

It sounds like your gun is slightly under gassed and you are probably going to find that even lower the spring tension does not completely eliminate the FTE issue. The stick mags have much less pressure on the top round in the mag than the drums do. Since your gun is barely cycling the bulk pack ammo in the stick mags (98%, and probably only tossing the shells a couple feet - I'm guessing) the drum will definately cause issues. The best cure is the have the gas system opened up to allow more gas assist and this will fix the problem.
Lowering the spring pressure in the drum may help, but keep in mind that it also slows the feeding of the drum.....
We have 30-40 Saiga 12's in the shop that were all sent in for similar issues. Very common to have FTE when running low power ammo with factory gas setup.
