I dislike my shoulder where it sits now, maybe a few busted joints will fix it.
I looked through Bass Pro and couldnt find much variety for 3.5 inch shot, mostly Turkey. Just a novel idea to launch a 3.5 slug, only ever used 2-3/4 for pigs beforeComment

They're out there, but not a big variety. The majority of 3.5" shells are goose/duck/turkey loads. That's really the only time they're "necessary." Even then it's debatable.Comment

Hhahah. Try some high velocity 3 inch stuff first. My shoulder hasn't talked to me in weeks!WTB: Marlin 989 M2 stock (uncracked), and 989 M2 rifles

When you abso-fricken-lutely have to destroy something in front of you... like perhaps a T-Rex, or a tweeker Hippopotamus?
Just thinking about 3.5" slugs makes me cringe! But please make a tube video and show us when you do a mag dump.Originally posted by ysr_racerPlease don't bring logic and reason into an interwebs discussion

I'm on a budget, but if someone wants to mail me a box of 3.5" slugs I'll go out and rapid fire them on film for your amusement.
My SX3 is a 3.5" chamber, but I use it mostly for bird & clays shooting. I never have put a slug through it, and usually use 3" shells for waterfowl. 3.5" shells just seem like overkill for anything other than geese or longer range shots on duck.
