    Couple shotgun questions

I have been thinking about making my Mossberg 500 tacticool.

    1. I like the ati top folding stock. I just need to know if they are any good and if not, were can I find a steel one. Also are they legal in California.

    2. I would like to get a barrell with the door breaching end on it. (which the same barrell as the roadblocker) were could I buy one of these?

    Thanks for the help guys.

I know what you mean. I did it to mine first, then brought it back to hunting style stock after a shotgun course. Id reccomend something like this if you want the pistol grip over the the top folding. Its hard to aim properly b/c the top is covered up. Also puting the gun on/off safe does become harder a bit. Enjoy whatever you end up doing, just me 2 cents

I'm not an expert, but with a high recoil gun like this you really need to favor performance over looks.

And personally I don't think many of the tacti-cool solutions add anything but awkardness and discomfort over a straight stock.

The only advantages to a fold up is that you can store the gun in a slightly smaller place, and maybe it will look cool to you, or intimidating to others, which I will not say are not advantages that are important.

The disadvantages are less control, less comfort, and probably less accuracy.

But like I said, that is just me, everyone shoots and is shaped a bit different.

I know that I absolutely hate the idea of a pistol grip on a shotgun.

          I'm using the word HATE.

But I know lots of folks that swear by them, and claim to have no issues sighting and shooting.

Just don't dismissed tried and true comfort and ergodynamics out of hand.

I looked at those and in the end went with a Blackhawk adjustable stock with pistol grip instead.

I have one like this on my Mossy 500 and I love it. It took a little getting used to the pump release with this on, but I have it down now.
