One thing I would get that I really appreciate on my tac 4 is the new Remington gel butt pad. I have done a lot of trap and used many different recoil reduction and the factory pad that comes on the tac 4 has got to be one of the best. Personally I would not waste the trigger as it is a run and gun shot gun.

I have no idea what so ever how the Timney trigger works on other models. I can only tell you that because of the design of the Remington they do nothing that simply installing a different sear spring would. Why can some of you not accept the truth.

Here is another serious rip off. In the Brownells catolog is a trigger kit for the Remington shotgun called "Accuracy Speaks" it is item number 054-000--001 and sells for $113.37. You get four Remington parts that you can buy from Remington for less then $18 retail. The only thing this kit has is a hammer, a lighter sear, pin and washer that you had to fubar to get to the hammer and have to replace. And, they recommend "gun smith" installation. So you are out $113.37 plus what the gun smith charges you and you only got a $4.70 sear spring for it................So yes there are bigger rip offs out there.

My dealer cost for those parts is less then $12 and if I was a theif I would install them in my custom shotguns and offer them for sale. Plenty of people out there with no knowledge of these weapons that would be on these blogs talking about how great the triggers were on my shotguns and they would have $100 less in their pocket.

If you're going to a gun fight, take a shotgun. If you can't take a shotgun, don't go.

Don't do anything more to the gun, get to your nearest 3 gun match, tell them you are new, and shoot a couple of dozen matches. Then you will know exactly what to get that works for you. The nearest 3 gun to you is Pala, but because this is the USPSA Multi Gun Nationals weekend, their next match is in November. See BrianEnos.com for more info on competition.

Shooting a shotgun in 3 gun is all about reloading, quickly, and managing your ammo between bidrdshot and slugs. You will need shell holders, 6 pacs they are called, unless you want to shoot Open division, then you will need tubes and an Arrendondo ramp

Impressive load gate and I really like the big flapper bolt handle extension. Nice setup.

governor, you also need to know point of impact at 75 yards for slugs on your gun. Here are a couple of typical 3 gun shotgun stages, notice the reloading.
