What FFL for web order LA/OC?

Who do you use for web order of long guns (or handguns) in the LA/OC area, and what are their fees?

    It seems fees vary wildly.

buds guns is pretty good. Theyll ship to just about any CA FFL. Just contact your local gunshop and ask what their fee is.

i agree with in_this_city, buds has good prices, and they also have a long list of FFL's you can send. ammo bros usually is about 70 dollars if you want to pick an ffl to send to with a reasonable transfer price.

Buds sometimes can take a long time to ship and sometimes their packing leaves a lot to be desired (rifle stuck to the side of the box with plastic and no packing material). They also don't always have the best prices and many FFLs dislike dealing with Buds.

That's right, an FFL for DROS.

So far, sounds like Ammo Bros. is $70. Do they also collect tax on out of state purchases such as Buds?

I prefer Don at Straightline Tactical. Currently it is $45 transfer + Dros. (PPT is $10 + Dros)

Are you willing to go to Simi Valley? If so, then there is Fort Courage and myself. A little bit further there are other places as well.

It depends on if you are a member of a firearm rights organization and the type of firearm (more work for a handgun). My info is listed at:

DROS + FFL Fee + Sales tax (unless firearm is exempt from sales tax). My fee is $40 for handguns, $35 for long guns with a $15 discount for members of firearm rights organizations. To be exempt from sales tax, it needs to be a private sale, an occasional sale and the firearm not coming from a business (shipping through a business is ok).

I think the Best around is Jim Bowen at Airco International in Huntington Beach. He has a security training business and is also a gun dealer. Jim charges a flat $50 for all out of state transfers/DROS and $25 for Calif. sales (handguns, and long guns).
