quick mag ext. question *870 exp mag*

Howdy! i have a rem 870 with 28" ribbed barrel, was wondering if anyone knows what magazine tube extension would work best, im thinking i want highest cap, since i dont plan on changing the barrel out.

so in short whats the largest tube ext out there for the 870 xpress.
your favorite brand/model? i know some people have problems with the barrel clamps from some companies.

P.S. i dont have the dreaded "dimples/sawblade" thing going on so i know my next upgrade will be a tube. just want some insight on what length or +shots goes with a 28" barrel

Nordic Components' extension is great from what I've heard (don't have one). The biggest they go up to is +8 as well.

However, I believe if you get another tube, you can add the tube onto your previous tube and screw the cap onto your new one. Theoretically, you could make it ten feet long if you desired.

thanks for the advice, my research has lead to the same conclusion. after measuring from the stock magazine tube to the end of the barrel, i see the +8 would stick out around 2 inches past the already huuuge barrel, looks like ill be getting the +7 from NC as its 17.something inches long instead of 19.81 inches with the +8 round extension, thanks a bunch. still open to suggestions though i do plan on getting an extended ported IC choke for slugs and buck/bird shot, i wounder if that will extend it enough to justify the +8.

Yeah, that sounds about right, haha. Can you say, nose heavy? Also, you could get one of these in XL or XXL which might allow you to squeeze another round in and make the extension line up with the barrel.
