    Beretta shotguns?

    The Beretta Tx4 Storm

I just found out about it. I'm looking at getting my first semi-auto shotgun. I was half-considering a 930, just because it was affordable and I own a 590A1, and my other consideration was a Benelli M1. I stumbled across this Beretta and I pretty much like everything about it. Bud's has it for $900 and some new ones on Gun Broker are a little under that.

I thought I read a post on a forum where somebody who owned one said it ate everything, from bird shot, to reduced recoil buck, to magnum slugs, but now I can't find it again...

Any Calgunners have a Tx4 and have any thoughts?
How about the reliability, function, etc. of any Beretta shotgun?

well, if it's based on the 390/391 action (which I'm guessing it is), then it will not be possible to put a magazine extension on .. you're stuck with whatever the factory capacity is

Actually, at 3:30 on the first video it shows it with a magazine tube extension, so I don't know what action it would be based on. And even if the magazine extension wasn't available, I wouldn't care. 5+1 is good enough for me.

I know that originally it was suppose to be named the "SX4" but Suzuki owned the trademark. In a related story the Scion Tc was suppose to be the Xc but Volvo owned the Trademark.

It is based on the new A400 Beretta. I have one ordered. a extended mag tube is available. Recoil spring is in receiver.

Haha, thank you for that wonderful information! Although, and I have always been confused by the names of the xA, xB, tC, and xD, so thank you for clearing that up.

Hmm, okay, guess I'm going to look up some review on the A400 now. You ordered and A400 or a TX4? Either way, once you get it, let me know what you think of it.

Why hasn't anyone trademarked the SUX2000 yet?

Sorry to get back so late. I have a A400 clays gun, and now I have the TX4. Same action.

It is a very soft shooter, and it cycles any shell or load. I shot a bunch of 3/4 light loads and some 3in 00 buck loads and it was flawless. It uses the same chokes as my A400 also.

I'm looking into the magazine extender right now.
