    Big 5 870 7 shot. What choke?

What is the factory choked barrel on the 870 7 shot home defense model. It didn't say on the barrel, box, or anywhere in the instruction manual when I skimmed through it. I just went through the manual on the remington website and couldn't find anything. I want to know what I can and can't run through this thing here in a few days. This is the gun: http://remington.com/products/firear...c-7-round.aspx

Picked it up for 10% off of $329 which was a great deal all things considered. Should make a great home defense gun and I plan on leaving it completely stock with the exception of a home port job on the barrel.

Fixed Cylinder is the choke. (ie no restrictions- wide open)

Fixed Cylinder Choke Is that I have with my 11-87 I was shooting clay with it the other day, and was 100% killing it with my 18.5 barrel. It was awesome. The rest of the group was about 70%ish with a like 28 inch barreled Mossberg.

congratulations; nice deal. Big 5 has been putting out coupons for discounts on their guns lately. the coupons may or may not be common, but i'm not used to seeing them.

Printed it from a coupon someone posted here. It was 10% off which made it worth my while not to get it shipped in. I was gonna do one online anyway but it was gonna be a maverick 88 8 shot, and I like the fit and finish on the remington better anyway. Now to decide if I'm going to leave it stock or do anything to it other than a shell holder on the stock.

Don't forget the $30 cash rebate from Remington on that model. If they did not give you a coupon go to www.remington.com and down load one. Fill the coupon out then take the UPC bar code off your owners manual and stick it on the coupon. Send that in to the addess on the coupon and get a $30 dollar check from Remington.

Also, the choke is always stamped on the left side of the barrel towards the read for the barrel.
