So like I said I would I emailed them yesterday asking very bluntly, "Found your conversion being talked about on Calguns.net. Everyone is wondering where your product is made?"

I get a same day reply from JJ Hunter with a very ambiguous, "we are in kentucky".

That's it? What the hell? The box looks As Seen On TV as Soopafly said, and Made in USA is nowhere to be found. Most companies would want to advertise this and do, right? I'm smelling PRC, VOC, and POS here.

If that's made in USA they should note the fact prominently on their packaging and website.

I don't know if I totally agree with that. US manufacturing vendors have been stepping up the the plate, and costs in China have been going steadily up. Also, I've been following the progress, or lack thereof, on bullpupforum.com. I'd say what they'd lose in money by producing here at home they'd gain in control over vendors. Nothing like waiting on someone else for your product. "Almost Ready To Ship" since August. I want one only because it has to do with the 870, but not putting my "deposit" down yet. Especially if he's thinking of issuing refunds.

Their timing might have been very unfortunate. We have a Kel-Tec KSG here in the office and it's a pretty nice piece. The KSG will cost more than a bullpupped 870, but you get two magazines.

Anyway, I wish the best to any manufacturer that wants to innovate and take a chance, but that's what business really is: taking a chance (unless, of course, you work on Wall Street).

Unless the bet goes really bad. Then the Feds bail you out and you keep your summer home in the Hamptons.

I spoke with JJ last Friday and he explained how everything is on hold while they beef up the trigger bar and it's assembly.
He also mentioned that full refunds are available to anyone that has put down a deposit - all you have to do is ask for your money back.

I hope he is able to make the needed changes quickly and begin shipping soon.

Disclaimer: I don't own an 870 and have no plans to buy one.

Just read from JJ the new parts are coming mid-this month and will still need to be tested and QC'ed. That sucks for him, but it's what you get when dealing with Chinese suppliers. I still intend on ordering one and giving it a go for the heck of it.

Well here it is several months later and it seems that JJ may have everything sorted this month (no April fools joke intended). Following the bullpup forums on 3/21 he posted the new parts should be coming 4-6 weeks. That may take things into May. I have to say I still want one and will probably place an order. Seems the initial first order isn't even sold out yet. Can't say that bodes will for business considering this thing is almost a year behind schedule.
