Last year bought myself a benelli in max-4, was hoping to start waterfowl hunting, but never did. So planning to go rabbit hunting and dove hunting this year and thinking if my benelli max-4 pattern will be suitable for those kind of a activities or it will stand out to much for this hunting activities. What is the opinion on max-4 is it just for waterfowl or it really does ot matter? Now i am thinking if i should get just a black shotgun.

its a shotgun, it shoots shotgun shells it does its job. i use my realtree apg benelli for everything including big game hunting. -
I always wondered...if you drop your camouflaged shotgun, how can you find it again?
Honestly, I don't see how the colour of a shotgun makes any difference at all. I mean, your shotgun is all stealthy and camo, and you're wearing a bright orange vest and hat?==================

Forget about stopping power. If you can't hit it, you can't stop it.

Remember, some dove and rabbit hunters still use glossy blued and shiny walnut stocked shotguns and have done so for many years. If those don't 'stand out' and spook game, I doubt your camo gun will. IPersonally, I opted for the flat black mainly because I am not a waterfowl hunter, and I didn't want to worry about scratching a pretty blue/walnut gun.Comment
