    Shot Shell Base (non-brass)?

I know that on my AAA and other shells, that the bases are brass, but I recently bought a bunch of economy stuff that isn't brass colored...

What are the silver bases made of on these shotshells? I'm guessing aluminum? Or are they tin?

Ok, that makes sense. One of my shotguns is 100% with brass, but doesn't do so well with these cheaper shells. Maybe the mild steel doesn't bounce back from expanding like the brass does...

      Thanks

Updated to add: Emailed the seller/importer and they recommend only Winchester brass based ammo.

If you're going to a gun fight, take a shotgun. If you can't take a shotgun, don't go.
