    Screw-On chokes?

I was wondering if anyone knows of a source for the Mossberg old style screw-ON style chokes. I recently got possession of my Grandfathers gun collection and one was a Mossberg 185D-B bolt action 20gauge, without the chokes. He had said he lost them along time ago but still used the gun with slugs for deer hunting with very good results. I would like to find some chokes for this gun or even a Polychoke style choke, I have found http://www.havlinsales.com/bolt.htm just looking for other sorces and maby other choices

You could try Gun Parts Corp, but for what you have, I'm surprised you even found a ready and reasonably priced supply at all.

Here is the site for Poly Choke (aka "dial-a-duck") http://www.poly-choke.com/

Thanks Guys, I sent Poly a e-mail asking about availability of a female threaded choke and was told they made one in there early days but have long since stopped due to most modern guns having the internal threads. I may ask a local machine shop about cutting me a adapter to screw on the barrel and accept internal threads to allow the use of a common choke.

I think that place you put the link to in your first post sounds like the fastest, cheapest solution plus it maintains the originality of the gun. a set of 3 would be $75. Pretty cheap solution, IMO. The solution you suggest will not be cheap.
