    Ordered my First Shotgun today!

Just got back from my LGS and in ten days I'll be taking home a brand new Remington 870 Express 7 shot Tactical.
I was going back and forth between this and the Mossberg 590 Special Purpose 9 shot and in the end I like the way the shorter 870 pointed. It seemed like it came right up in line with my eye and the 590 took a little adjusting.
I've not got the bases covered: Rifle, Pistol, and now Shotgun.

Nice! I have a Mossberg 590A1 18.5" 6 shot, and there is no way I'm going longer than that, with the extra tube and shell weight on the front. I haven't handled a 20" fully loaded, but I bet it wouldn't feel very good or agile at all. Nice pick, it'll serve you well.

I an't got the scratch for a Beretta Shotgun.
I actually almost went with the Benelli Nova... but I could get a better deal on the 870.
With a baby on the way "The Incubator" gave me the green light on this purchase but had to keep it inexpensive. lol

Excellent choice in shotgun. I have no beef with 870's, they're just wonderful shotguns. But I don't mind the 20" barrel on my 590a1. Two extra shells for me just means another 2 shots before I have to reload

Congrats! I also got an 870 express tactical, but I get to pick mine up tomorrow. I went with rem over moss because I knew I wanted a pistol grip stock and the rem's safety is better for that IMO.

It was around $450 before fees and taxes.
