Combination light sport/defense shotgun

I tried searching, probably just picking the wrong phrases. Looking to get a shotgun, HD and some light sporting. Would like to keep it under $500 for all the hardware I need (choke tubes, barrels, etc.).

What should I be looking at? Thanks!

mossberg 500
Remington 870 express

I have both but my remington is a wingmaster not a express

Mossberg has a six position stock and a 18.5inch barrel, also have a extra 28inch barrel

Remington has pistol grip, tri-rail forend, forend pistol grip, Red Laser, flash light, mag extention, and a 18inch barrel.

If you buy the shotgun used you can do all the mods for under 500. If you buy it new i believe the mossberg is 460 out the door, and comes with six position stock with 18inch barrel and three rails on the forend.
