SPEEDFEED IV-S

So I bought one of these for my 870. What upgrade recoil pad is out there that would fit this model? Also, is there any grip (like the hogue HandAll Universal Grip) that would also fit?

I thought maybe this wouldn't be a good idea

Have you fired the gun with the stock mounted yet? Just asking because I've been using Speedfeed stocks for many years, have a Speedfeed IV on my 870P, and have never felt the need for a 'better' pad than what comes on it. You could swap it out with the size correct Limbsaver pad if you wanted.

If you want to put a grip wrap on the pistol grip to make it more tacky, the Handall Jr. size fits AR's, and would probably fill the bill. Again, it's something I think that isn't really needed.

I agree with BigDog...I've got the IV-S on a Mossberg 500 and haven't felt the need for a better recoil pad or grip. I say give it a try first. YMMV of course!

got the IV-S on my 870... even after courses with it and shooting 250+ rounds of buckshot in a day, it wasn't like "OMG THIS THING KILLS!"

I just put it on today....

I'm used to the hogue grip on my .40. The SF grip feels smooth and akward. I will try it normally, then with the Handall Jr to see what feel comfortable. Thanks!
