Are black powder shotguns subject to the same laws as normal shotguns? If I had a standard size double barrel black powder shotgun and wanted to cut the barrels down to alot less than 18" and chop the stock to a pistol grip creating a firearm that would be considered a AOW if it used standard ammunition (yes, I know that this is not the most suitable setup) would it be legal?

I have been using black powder guns for a long time and have many but..... dont quote me on this im not a lawyer and I may be wrong but from what i've been told and what I know black powder/ antique "firearms" are exempt from NFA as long as they are muzzleloading guns that are antique or replicas (can accept no shells, muzzleloading only) They are technically not even firearms but rather an antique or a collectable, hence the reason no papperwork, 4473's, or DROS is needed.
