Mossberg 500 barrel on a 590?

I'm a proud owner of a mossberg 590 and i want to turn it into a complete slug gun. in order for me to do that i need a rifled bore now i couldn't fined any rifled barrels for a 590 specifically but there's a gang of them for a 500, so seeing how the two are so similar I was wondering if anybody out there has tried putting a mossberg 500 rifled slug barrel on a 590.

Never going to work, look at the barrel nut in the picture for the slug barrel vs your gun. Just buy a new slug gun from Maverick

thanks! I didn't notice that at first. i think i might go with just a plane jane 500 and make it my slugger i just love the action i cant say anything bad about it
