Is Mounting Solutions is reputable place to order from? Anyone have experience with them?

Right now, I am using the L&M Single Ring Shotgun Magazine Tube Mount Which I like a lot. But I had a Streamlight Polytac that did not stand up to repeated 00 rounds. Just sent it in for a repair.

I ordered my mount from them and had no issues whatsoever.

I've had other mounts and think the L&M is the best.

One of my favorite light mounting methods is to use one of those built-in-rail forend. Some models (like the one in the picture below) themselsves add virtually no extra weight to the shotugn. A direct replacement of the original forend and adds no extra parts to the shotgun. When field-stripping the shotgun, it doesn't need to be removed first (e.g. use a hex key) to take-down the magazine-tube-extension, barrel, etc. (depending on the shotgun model.)

              Regards,

Here is Streamlight's version that mounts under the mag tube cap, $15

I have never run one on my 870 but have seen one. My only concern is how does it keep the mag cap on considering it covers the mag cap detente on the barrel.

Yes you did, but you simply wrote, "Here are two great options..."

I can't believe it's 2011 and people are still asking this question.

The question of which light would be best? Maybe it's because people bought their first shotgun in 2011......not everyone has had their firearm for as long as you.

I have the same question, and thanks for all the answers so far.

well, im pretty sure that next year, this same question will be asked a few more times.

just a fyi to the OP, the Streamlight PT2L has had issues when its weapon mounted because it cannot withstand strong recoil.
