    ? for Rem. experts

Just a quick question for the Remington experts in ref. to this thread:

Does the Mag. tube on the Remington model 11 just unscrew? I know there is a Mag. tube retaining screw, but unfortunately my shotgun seems to be missing that part.

I am trying to do the Mag. tube extension mod from the other thread and I have the parts, but the mag. tube doesn't want to unscrew. I can't find anything that seems to interfere with the unscrewing of the tube but it is very tight and I don't want to damage the shotgun. This is the first time I have tried to dis-assemble this shotgun so I am a little new.

    Thanks for any help.
    John
And in all fairness, just because JMB did it doesn't mean anything. He'd have won WWII with a soup can, a fork, and a couple rocks. Seriously, even McGuyver and Steven Hawking get together every now and then and are like "How the **** did he do that?..."

It's not a part to be removed for a normal cleaning. Should be a gunsmith's job to unscrew. Guess you could do it yourself, but you might need a tube vise.
