I perfonally find slings get in the way on a shotgun. If I were to choose one, I would get a single point like a magpul. I suggest trying an IPSC shotgun match. It is about as tactical as the weekend warrior can get and it is a ton of fun. You will see that a sling gets in the way a lot of the time. You have to manipulate the pump and you are constantly feeding the damn thing. hehe. A sling can limit your movement, especially depending on how you reload.

I took a defensive shotgun course a little while back, and I used a magpul ms2 sling(1 point setup) and it was very helpful. It made transitioning to handgun easy, and it didnt get in the way during reloading drill(both combat and speed). A few of my classmates were using 2 point slings, and yes like the above poster said, a few of them had trouble manipulating the pump with the sling getting in the way. For a 1 point, i recommend the magpul ms2. Just my 2 cents.
If ever, try all types of slings, and whatever feels best, go for it.Last edited by r870noob; 08-04-2011, 2:21 PM.

I got a VTACS/5.11 padded sling for my Mossberg. Granted, I have taken it off just for HD, but when I had it on, it was great carrying it in whatever way. Highly recommended. One thing about it though, is in order for it to be effectively used how it is supposed to be, you have to have the rear mount of the sling come off of the top of the stock. Watch videos of it to see what I mean.Comment
