Do you have this AI&P 870

I know this may not be proper to post but I am asking the modiators for some pity since I do help guys on here. After todays ATF Audit, I need better documentation on three AI&P Tactical Shotguns. Anyone who got an AI&P Tactical Remington 870 12ga with one of the below serial numbers who contacts me and provides me with the documentation I need, I will send you a new Surefire G2X Pro flashlight ( a $95 value) and I will either now or when the time comes you want it, I will re-parkerize and tune up that weapon for free ( a $200 value). The serial numbers are on the first page of my web site and here they are below.

Thanks for asking. I'm not in any trouble, but I am in serious inconvenience. Talked to Hans and he is now using a computerized program and resently put 20 years of gun books on his program, so I am going to try his and this time have an off site back up. The hard copies of everything will be maintained better as another back up. Relying on the computer program made me lackadaisical about the other. Lesson learned and stupid taxes will be paid. These go back to 2008 and one in early 2009.

        JD,

Your HD can probably be read, but the taxes on 3 guns will be cheaper.

JD, I didn't see this post on Shotgun World forum... did you put it there? Though I only checked the Tactical/HD section.

Posting this on other forums that would let you would be a big help. I don't post on SGW but have a lot of clients that own my weapons that do so anyone who could post this over there for me would have me in their debt.

I'm a Mod over at SGW. I'll cut-n-paste your original post over there, unless you'd rather write one specifically for that forum, in which case email me the text and I'll post that.

                    Done:

I'm posting this for JD McGuire, the owner of AI&P Tactical, the 870 specialist. If any SGW members can help him, he'd really appreciate it: I know this may not be proper to post but I am asking the moderators for some pity since I do help guys on here. After todays ATF Audit, I need better...

Nothing turned up on these weapons. They were from 2008 so I had little hope. Time is up and I have to file the forms with ATF. But that is not the bad news. The bad news is that the acting ATF director appionted by Obama gave an opinion of an exsisting rule and that means I am now considered a Manufacturer and have to obtain an 07 licence. Also, I have to pay a federal excise tax on each weapon.

Here is how they call it. If you go buy a new 870 and send it to me and I do A,B,C,D, to it then I am considered a gun smith. But if I buy a new 870 and do A,B,C,D to it then offer it for sale then I am a manufacturer and have to have that license. I also now have to engrave AI&P Tactical Scottville, MI on each weapon at a depth my engaver will not do. So, I am now shopping for a CNC Router and I am looking at around $7,000 for that. Hans Vang is also in the same boat as he has been doing this for years with an 01 like I have. And what is ironic there is that most ATF agents use Vang Comp shotguns and after over 20 years they are pulling this mess on a great guy like him. This rule affects every Custom Shotgun Builder. So, they will get more taxes now and the end user will pay them as there is no option here but to raise prices or go out of business. Our Federal Government at work.

Aippi, that is a damn shame, I hope you can pull through this, it sucks that the govt. gives you another hurdle in which we know you're an outstanding business man with great work and a model tax paying citizen. It's not fair the ATF guys are doing this to you or Vang, but hey that's the feds for you. Wish you luck brother in finding your CNC machine too!

Thanks, I am sticking and getting the 07 and jumping through all the hoops. Sad thing is the additional taxes will be paid by the consumer. No bussiness pay taxes as it is factored in to their prices. We pay the taxes when we buy the product. So my weapons go up and the feds get more money to spend on their agenda's, which have very little to do these days with what "we the people" want from our government. If they would just get out of our way this country could come back strong as ever.

It is not really the ATF doing this. The Agents here in Michigan are top knotch. This is being done by the present Administration to generate more revenue from you. Now that we are Manufacturers we have to pay a Federal Excise tax based on how much we increase the value of the gun. Remington pays the tax on the initial firearm. I then will have to pay based on the value above the MSRP due to the work I have done on the weapon and the accessories I have installed. At least that is what has been explained to me. The taxes were paid on the gun and all the accessories I install by the maufactures who made them so this is "Double Taxing" clear and simple.

The ATF Director is ANTI ANTI GUN.....Plain and simple.

JD, if you 12 sell custom wraped fishing rods a year, the gov. considers you a manufacturer and you must pay an excise tax on each pole.
