    Quick question on shell sizes

This may sound stupid, but I just bought 12 gauge shotgun. The Barrel says 3" chamber on it. Does this mean that it can only shoot 3" shells or can it also shoot 2 3/4 inch shells, 2 1/2, 2 1/4, etc. The shotgun is a Eastfield Pump if that helps any.

I don't want load it up with the wrong size shell and have a little kaboom.

If it's a pump you can load up to 3" shells
Not sure on semi's... I think some have problems cyclind the smaller shell, But I could be wrong on the whole semi's. I only have pumps...right now

Your pump shootgun is safe to use with 3" and shorter 12 guage shells
