thatll be nice for him. ya i'm not picking sides i'm just giving the mossbergers crap being as i own an 870 but like ive been saying i like them both equally i used a mossberg in afghaniland and it worked VERY VERY well in VERY crappy conditions so props to them for a well made product ALL FIREARMS WILL FAIL EVENTUALLY... its a fact and usually arent hard to fix and maintain. i'm not picking sides and holding to it i just favor my 870 due to the fact that it is what i have most experience with. but i htink they are EQUALLY amazing. hands down remington and mossberg did it right those are the standard for pump action shotguns and at a very affordable price. the quality you get for the buck is unbeatable i'd recommend either gun for a shooter looking into shotguns they both kick ***

Explanation accepted. No one on this forum has to ask which I favor but I don't bash the other American made models as some here do. I make a living from the Remington shotgun and used one my entire career. Never let me down.

Screws fall out the worlds a imperfect place - everything can and will fail eventually without the proper cleaning, oiling and up keep whether it be a Mossy or Remy is irrelevant moral of the story check out all of your nuts bolts and screws when cleaning your shotgun even more so if your counting on it to actually defend you and your families lives - blue loctite helps things stay put when they are torqued correctly to specs but honestly is not a replacement for common sense or gun care any weapon is only as good as it's owner / operator for the most part at least unless it was junk to begin with that is !!!
