Rem 1100 questions..

My pops has a 1100 from 79-80..

Are they still the same today?

Say I wanted to buy furniture for it, shorter brl, etc. Are they the same?

Any help would be great.. Thanks

Accessories, barrels, etc., should be the same, however, just make sure that if you want a new magnum barrel, your receiver must be a magnum receiver as I believe that the ejection port is longer with the magnum variant.

Yea it says mag on the receiver so just make sure I get a mag barrel and I should b ok?

And I wanna take the wood off and go tacti-cool, I should most likely have no problems?

The older stocks are different. My father has one from the early 70's and modern 1100 parts don't fit it.
