It's not a "looks" issue per se, but rather a fit issue. Will it match up to the stock well, or will it extend over the edges.

Yes it'll match the stock well without overlap or gaps. No I'm not going to take a picture because I'm lazy.

However a quick google image search about a mossberg 500 with a limbsaver pad installed brings up a calguns post, go figure.

As you can see, it fits just fine.

Tacstar 6 shell side saddle/Forend issue

              Hello All,

Can anyone give me some tips on how to tackle this issue I have with my forend and my recently bought Tacstar side saddle? the end of the forend is hitting the saddle, avoiding the slide to cycle properly. Any recommendations?

                5 minutes with a dremel will fix that . . .

I'm serious; I had the same problem and fixed it by taking off just a little bit of the forend where it interfered - works fine, looks fine . . .

Synthetic or wood, new or older, are going to make significant differences. I have an early 70's vintage 500 with wood furniture and the current runs of precision fit pads, don't fit. I had to go with grind to fit, fill and drill holes, etc, etc.

To the fore end issue, there are any number of aftermarket fore ends that will solve that problem. If you want to keep the one you have then you will have to bust out the power tools and trim it.

Thanks a lot, I was hoping I can salvage what I have and that it would not jeopardize the structural integrity of the forend. Mine is Synthetic which makes me wonder. I do have a dremel that I can play around with. In regards to the after market forends out there, do you have any you can recommend?

I like the Hogue has a nice grippy feel. If you like the forend that you have, just trim it. Take your time and do a nice job. It will be fine, and if you screw it up, so what. Its replaceable
